🛶 Whitewater raft the Lower Deschutes (Maupin)

The Lower Deschutes around Maupin runs Class I-IV rapids through high-walled canyon, and at least eight outfitters operate out of Maupin offering everything from half-day floats to multi-day overnight expeditions. Famous rapids include Boxcar and Oak Springs. Suitable for first-timers on the half-day trips; full days bring bigger water and a packed lunch on the river.
