⛰ Hike Misery Ridge at Smith Rock

The classic Smith Rock loop. Steep switchbacks up the ridge (the "misery" — 1,000+ ft gain in under a mile), then panoramic views over Monkey Face spire, then a knee-friendly descent and flat river walk back. The signature Smith Rock experience.

Good to know

• Park before 8 AM on weekends — lot fills fast.
• Sturdy shoes; loose gravel on the descent.
• No water fountains on trail; bring 2L+ in summer.
